A global perspective, a structured approach.
I’ve spent the last few years navigating different cultures and professional environments – from my roots in Denmark to my time in Croatia, Ireland, and now the Netherlands. This journey hasn’t just been about moving; it’s been about learning how to listen. Living in diverse contexts has taught me that no two people view the world the same way, and consequently, no two design solutions should be identical. For me, design is most effective when it’s built on a foundation of empathy, research, and a deep understanding of the people I’m designing for.
Design as a tool for change.
I realized early in my career that design is more than just aesthetics – it is a powerful tool to shape perception and improve the world around us. My Master’s in Social Design deepened this conviction. I’m at my happiest when I’m digging into the “why” behind a project, using both practical and theoretical knowledge to solve complex, real-world challenges. I don’t shy away from constraints; in fact, I thrive within them. I find that clear boundaries and strategic limitations are the best sparks for creative innovation, pushing me to find solutions that are as functional as they are impactful.
Collaboration with a smile.
I bring an energetic, positive approach to everything I do. I believe that the best work happens when you balance big-picture thinking with a structured, organized process. I love collaborative brainstorming and engaging with stakeholders early on – not only to keep projects on track and avoid wasted time, but to ensure the final result resonates with the people who need it most.
Beyond the screen.
When I’m not bridging strategy and design, you’ll likely find me making the most of life in The Hague. I’m currently deep in the “nesting” phase, enjoying the process of decorating our new home and planning my wedding for next year. I’m a firm believer in keeping the body moving – whether that’s through running, swimming, pilates, or cycling through the city – and I have a soft spot for hunting down hidden gems in thrift shops or testing out new recipes in the kitchen.
I’m always up for a good conversation about design, culture, or the best local coffee spot. Let’s connect!
